New Lots Plaza
The development of up to 99 units of affordable rental housing will shortly begin on a site that the LDCENY won through the City’s competitive Cornerstone Program.

This 33,000 square foot site, located on New Lots Avenue between Barbey and Jerome Streets will contain one, two and three bedroom units, community space and retail space, while preserving and enhancing the area’s famed Farmers Market. Construction is slated to begin in early 2008 and completion date to be late 2009.

Home Ownership
The LDCENY will soon embark on developing a Home Ownership Counseling Program.
Highlights will include:

* Home ownership "What to Expect"
* Best practices to prevent foreclosures
* Best value in the long term - Is home ownership the way to go?
